Cornbelt Diabetes Connection
The Cornbelt Diabetes Connection Inc. (CDC) is a Nebraska not for profit corporation which has been operation since January 1993. The CDC is a 501(c)(3) foundation associated and managed by a board of directors who are members of various Cosmopolitan clubs in the Cornbelt Federation of Cosmopolitan International.
The mission of the CDC is to provide health care and education about diabetes to communities and individuals that may not have adequate access to such care or information. Since its inception, the CDC mobile nursing unit has performed over 27,000 diabetes screenings for the general public in more than 1,000 urban and rural sites in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa.
