Who We Are
 
Cosmopolitan International, a civic organization dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes, has a membership of approximately 2,100 members in some 70 clubs in the United States and Canada. We most recently had a member join in Sweden! Founded in Kansas City in 1918 by attorney Patrick J. Hodgins, Cosmopolitan International has donated millions of dollars to diabetes research and treatment since adopting diabetes as our International focus.
 
Cosmopolitan Diabetes Foundation was established in 1977 as the charitable arm of Cosmopolitan International.
 
The Cosmopolitan Foundation of Canada was founded in 1984.  
 
Cosmopolitan International is broken into federations outlined geographically:
 

Capital Federation
Maryland, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and Virginia
9 Clubs with more than 190 members

Cornbelt Federation
Iowa and Eastern Nebraska
14 Clubs with more than 370 members

Mid-States Federation
Illinois
6 Clubs with more than 320 members

Mo-Kan Federation
Missouri and Kansas
13 Clubs with more than 530 members


North Central Federation
North Dakota and South Dakota
5 Clubs with more than 200 members

Southwestern Federation
Lousiana and Texas
2 Clubs with around 40 members

Western Canada Federation
Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan
13 Clubs with more than 300 members
